Online in Virtual Classroom

ACRE offers the 60-hour Connecticut real estate pre-licensing course online in the live virtual classroom via Zoom, throughout the year.

You will be introduced to brokerage, listing agreements, buyer/seller representation, ownership of real estate, legal descriptions, taxes, contracts, liens, transfer of title, and more.

Students intending to sit for the State of Connecticut Real Estate Exam must attend sixty (60) classroom hours and pass this course with a grade of 70% or better. The course material is extensive and those intending to take the State of Connecticut Real Estate exam are expected to complete considerable reading assignments.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be:

  1. Able to act as knowledgeable and competent real estate salesperson upon passing of CT State Exam and represent the public in a competent, honest, and knowledgeable manner.
  2. More knowledgeable about real estate practices and procedures in the State of Connecticut.
  3. Prepared to sit for the CT Salespersons license exam.

Required Textbooks:

  1. Modern Real Estate Practice, 21st Edition by Galaty, Allaway & Kyle
  2. CT Real Estate Practice and Law, 16th Edition by Pancak
    Optional: Study Guide or Questions and Answers to help you pass the course

There are (11) Tuesdays and (11) Thursdays in this curriculum. You are expected to dedicate yourself to these days when signing up for this course. It is recommended that students plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. Students who arrive late for class will not be admitted.

Class discussion and review of class exercises is encouraged. Classes held on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be from 5:30PM – 8:30PM. All classes will be held at 186 East Center Street in Manchester, CT – or – virtually via Zoom.

Live Virtual Classroom requirements: All Education Policies and Procedures are to be enforced for virtual classes in the same manner as they are enforced for in-person classes. For attendance tracking: virtual class students will be required to provide a copy of their photo ID at the beginning of class. Students must attend the virtual class on a device that allows for video and audio participation and must be on screen for the duration of the class time. Students must participate with their audio and video on during the entire class period. Any unexcused, extended time off camera will result in the student receiving an absence from the class. Students cannot log onto the virtual classroom from any setting that may be distracting or dangerous, including a vehicle, whether parked or driving. Any student who logs onto the virtual classroom from their car will be immediately removed from the classroom and will not receive credit for the class hours.

Assessment: A minimum of sixty (60) hours classroom time is mandatory to take the final exam (NOTE: this is not the State licensing exam). The final exam will be given at the last scheduled class. All students who have completed the required sixty (60) hours of the course MUST take the final exam on the scheduled date indicated in the course outline. Rescheduling of an exam for a particular student is not permitted.

A passing grade of 70% or better on the final exam is needed for successful completion of the course and to receive the class certificate that will qualify the student to sit for the State of Connecticut licensing exam.

A completion notice with test results will be issued via mail within seven (7) days of the exam. No test results will be given over the phone or via email.

Class will begin early January 23, 2024.
